| hello Paul,
Have you tried the build-in monitor?
I don't know exactly how it works, but you can invoke it by pressing
both mouse-buttons at a reset and then (in the boot-menu) pressing
<Shift><M> followed by pressing both mouse-buttons again.
If you type a question-mark (?), you can get some help.
(I have some troubles reading this help 'cause you can't stop the
scroll!)
I hope someone reads this and writes how to use the monitor!
P.S. Are there any other advantages in the new Rom's besides the Kick?
Ave, Frank

| On my 2630 it on works every day of the weak and it even seems to work
without wearing any (special colored) hat.
I think it must also work on the 2620 'cause a friend of mine can do
the same trick on his 2620.
Mayby it only works in a flat, little, moist country near Germany? (The
Netherlands I mean!).
Altough my 2630 derives from a UK-Shipment.
I know the manual doesn't mention the monitor at all
(That's why I don't much about it :-(
(I know you can switch the CACHE on and of and stuff like that :-)
Ave, Frank
P.S. Have you released the <Shift><M> BEFORE pressing the mouse-buttons
again?
Mayby all you need to do is to get some practice at it.
P.P.S.
Let me know if you failed again, Mayby it only works in the newer
ROM-revisions?, In which that would mean we found a way to determen
the ROM-revision.
P.P.P.S.
I hope to have to unscrew my Ami soon, 'cause I expect a shipment
of extra Zip-Ram's (to go to 4Meg), and I will trie to look what
ROM-Revision I have.
P^4.S.
Pardon my English, I'm only a Dutch student (not a student Dutch).
AND DON'T GIVE ME THAT 'HE.. YOU'RE FUCKING DUTCH! i got in Glasgow!
