Re .0: > perhaps this has been asked before ... I'm sure it's been discussed at length. > Is there a PD Version of CROSSDOS that can write DOS disk ? CrossDOS is a commercial product. A read-only version is available on Fred Fish disk 382 as "tryware" (they hope you'll get hooked and then rush out to buy the product). It lists for $40, but widely discounted (and bundled with a number of Amiga systems). The same FF disk includes V1.30 of "Msh", a read/write file system handler for MS-DOS diskettes. I think you'll owe a contribution to the author if you use it (as is the norm for shareware). | |||||

Thanks Bill, my thoughts were that CROSSDOS might have gone PD anyway because of the many copies they must have sold by now. Think i'll try to get my contribution trough to the author of MSH On the other hand CROSSDOS is DM 90.- so it still would be worth the money.Thinking of what is possible if you have DECNET and a conference like this ... Thanks again Klaus P.S Also i would honestly like to say thanks to the people who maintain EOT (and/or other nodes) and keep the world a bit more friendly. I promise one fine day i'll upload too ! Hi, you can get CROSSDOS for less than 50 DM here in Germany (that's what I paid last November in Cologne) and it's worth the price. I also tried MSH, but it's a bit buggy (e.g. didn't work with Amiga-OS 2.0x when I tried it, etc.). Cheers, Heiko |
