Hi,
Memory Location is having a special on SUPRA SCSI controllers + hard
drives. I think you can get a 20-meg drive + controller + 512k memory
for $359, plus 1/2 meg's for $60 each.
They claim they're real popular.
I'm thinking of switching from a cranky and old and thrice-fixed Xetec
controller to the SUPRA.
Any opinions on the SUPRA, or XETEC/SUPRA comparisons? What's the
best controller + 20meg + 1/2 meg for around $300-$400?

The Newton, MA. Bit Bucket is having a GVP sale tomorrow Aug 24. "Prices too low to print" ;-) And the Memory Location has a "We will not be undersold" policy. Could be a good day for shopping. Dave | |||||

Re: Xetec controllers
I noticed that most of those mail-order places do NOT stock Xetec
stuff.
I called a bunch of them, and at least one said the reason was Xetec's
stuff simply fails too often. This matches my own experience, anyway -
my Xetec FastTrack was back in the shop (on warranty) three times
before I finally gave up on it.
