4960.0. "Text Adventure Writing Packages." by COMICS::HOGGAN (No, I am not kidding !!!) Tue Aug 13 1991 05:24

Going through an old magazine the other day I came across a news item referring
to HATRACK II, a text adventure writing package. However, I cannot find any
adverts for it. Does anyone know about this package (or any other simialr
package) as I want to play around without the fuss of using a programming type
environment.....

Dave.

Btw: In my Atari days, there was a environment called the AGT - Adventure Games
Toolkit, which was pretty good. Was this ever ported to the Amiga?

I remember AGT too; it was very good - produced Infocom style adventure
games. I know it also exists on the PC so perhaps the source is
fairly portable ? I've got a feeling the author is on the internet
somewhere. I'd like to get hold of this for the Amiga too.

Don't know how good they are, but there are several adventure language
compilers available on the fish disks. Try ADL on disk 91.
4960.3Already tried them....COMICS::HOGGANNo, I am not kidding !!!Tue Aug 13 1991 09:419
Hi.

re -.1

I've already tried them and for the most part found them unwieldy. Also a non-
programming friend of mine wants to knock something up and these are a bit on
unfriendly side...

'Aegis' is going to get some product out soon, called
'Visionary'. That program should be in the range of
    what you are looking for.
