I have picked up Pro-Textures by Leo Martin. This is a ten disk set
that comes packaged in a plastic case about the size of a vhs box.
It opens up and all ten disks are stored nicely in there own slot.
The set consists of Eight 24bit textures(1 per disk) Brick,
Flagstone, Marble1, Marble2, Rock, Clouds, Water, and Gold. I get the
feeling that they are more for Lightwave users than Imagine users, but the
package is purported to be geared for both. The other Two disks contain
HAM versions for users that are restricted by memory size. I don't have
24bit display capability so I won't see them in 24bit until I can get
down to System Eyes. The Ham doo display well. Their are two kinds of
extensions on the files. the .TX files are for standard brush mapping,
and the .RFL are for "reflection mapping". (only two are .RFL clouds,
and Water) .
I did run into memory problems when I wrapped a 24bit brush on a
sphere, and tried to use another for reflection Mapping. (I am maxed
out on the 2000 now). So I have another reason to get a 030 card.
