4890.0. "SCSI Direct" by BAHTAT::BAHTAT::HILTON (How's it going royal ugly dudes?) Thu Jul 11 1991 09:13

I've seen all previous notes about tape backup using the drivers
written by Steve Peters et al. The pre-req for these to work seems to
be that your controller supports SCSI Direct.

How do I find out if my controller supports SCSI direct?

    Cheers,

What kind of system/controller do you have?

    Controllers which support SCSI Direct:

    - Commodore A2091
    - Microbotics Hardframe
    - GVP, all models

Controllers which will support SCSI Direct "real soon now":

    - Supra Wordsync (next release of driver software has been overdue
    			for a year)

If the 2091 supports it, then the 590 does too.

I've got a Dataflyer 500. So if no-one knows if it supports SCSI direct
is there a way to find out?
