Annotated example:
From: KALI::PLOUFF
To: NM%DECWRL::FTPMAIL // always use NMail if installed
CC: PLOUFF
Subj:
reply [email protected] // replace username and node
connect ab20.larc.nasa.gov
binary // not needed for text files
uuencode // ditto
get amiga/demos/euro/genesis.dms // use full Unix file path
get amiga/demos/euro/demosrc.zoo // up to 10 requests per message
quit
What comes back is one or many messages containing your files. If
binary, you must do the following procedure:
1. Extract the sections in order
2. Edit or use UUSTRIP to remove the mail headers and trailers
3. UUDECODE
4. Rename the resulting file, FTPMAIL.UU, to its real name
Jamie (SIEVAX::) Badman has come up with a script to automate this
process. He posted it to the internal Usenet newsgroup
"dec.mail.ftpmail" and perhaps can be persuaded to reply here.

| Read these notesfiles:
UPSAR::NEWS-BACKBONE Usenet news distribution within Digital
CLO::VNEWS News reader sw for terminals
UFP::XRN News reader sw for X Windows
Somewhere in this notesfile within the last 7-8 months I've entered a
description of the many Amiga newsgroups.
BTW, when you send e-mail outside the company, it's to the Internet.
Usenet is the news service only. For a much more detailed description
of the difference, read John S. Quarterman, _The Matrix_.
