4791.0. "Does Anyone have MoveVBR" by VIVIAN::D_VISTUER () Mon Jun 03 1991 11:43

    I have read that a program called 'MoveVBR' can enhance the performance
    of 68010,68020 and 68030 processors. This is done by moving the Vector
    Base Register to FastMem (I think).

    If anyone can help/advise I would be grateful.

    Thanks in advance

    	Does this only work with the 68010 ...???

    	I tried it last night and the machine crashed......

    	I looked at the source code and it look like it should put a
    message saying no 68010 found exiting...

    Steve,
    	Read the doc that came with it and you will find that you need a
    68010 and up !. Cos these machines have the Vector Base Register. The
    68000 does not !.

4791.5Two Problems CX3PST::WSC017::A_ANDERSONCSC32::A_Anderson NSU/VAX DTN 592-4170Mon Jun 17 1991 10:245
I hace noticed two problems running this. It works greaton my 2000 (68020 CPU)
and on my 500 (68010 CPU). But so far Amos does not check where the stack is.
It will not start with VBR run on a system.
