I asked about this in the usenet comp.sys.amiga.graphics group.
The consensus was "Don't get too excited...". Basically, you get colored
ink that you refill empty black cartridges with. You can then do
multiple passes changing ink each time. This means getting the paper
re-registrered for each color pass and trying to figure out which
color you want to print below or above which other color.
-Not a paintjet substitute with 300dpi.
If you just want to create pages that use an extra color or two
for emphasis or added zing, and precise registration is not an issue,
this can work. DEC's manuals often put command examples in
red ink. You could probably do this kind of thing. You may have
serious difficulties trying to get four color separations out of
a desktop publishing program.
Disclaimer:
I've never seen or used the product & the people on usenet
are not always trustworthy. However, at least one reply
came from a Hewlett Packard Employee.
