I have'nt seen the Amiga port yet, but should not be too much effort
to do so. PPM does read/write IFF even 24 bit files. The ham support only
creates noninterlaced ham pics (ie 320x200). I use PPM alot under ultrix,
and have good results using it to convert from 24 bit files (generated by
Imagine or DCTV) to GIF or any other format that displays nicely on
a workstation. In fact I've generated 1024 x 800 pics in 24 bit format
using Imagine and then viewed them on a color workstation via PPM, Nice!
The only problem I see with a Amiga version is needing lots of memory.
