4762.0. "turning off amigados requesters" by CRBOSS::QUIRICI () Thu May 23 1991 13:28
hi,
i don't know if this has been covered before, but at least not
recently:
my program uses amigados to open/load files;
i'd like to turn off the amigados requesters, like the error
requesters, so that my program handles all dos errors. otherwise,
the requesters screw up my screen - even when i select 'cancel', i
don't get my custom window back.
i tried the technique mentioned in an appendix to the amigados manual,
where you use DeviceProc to find the process that handles a given
device, so you can set those fields to -1: the windowptr, and the
handlercode (or something). doesn't seem to work. suppose from within
my program i try to access dz1: (by mistake); what process handles
this? if i try to DeviceProc dz1:, i get that amigados requester
telling me to mount dz1. catch22, right? i want to turn off ALL
amigados requesters. how do i do it?
