4750.0. "Pro Page help" by LEDS::SKRALY (Sam Skraly, DTN 237-6347) Thu May 16 1991 15:17

I need a few tips from the Pro Page gurus:

	1) How do I create a rectangular border with rounded corners?

	2) Is there an automatic way to create bulleted lists?
I've discovered that alt-shift-8 gives me a bullet, but I can't seem
to be able to get my paragraph margins set so that I can have the bullet
as a hanging indent like this:

	*	This is the text.al;skdjf;alskdfj;alskdfja;slkf
		a;slkdjfa;lskfj;aldkfj;asdlkfaj;ldkfas;dflkafkj
		a;sldkfj;alskfj;sldkfj;aldkfj;lfkj;lfj;lfkj;alk

	3) Why doesn't the ruler agree with my printer output? In other
words, if I have a box at x=0.5, y=0.5, why doesn't it come out at that
spot on my laser printer? Is there a way to correct for this?

Thanks!
Sam

1:You could create a box the size of the border you want, and then
construct your border using the primative draw tools available.
Use the line tools to create a side. You will be presented with a line
in a box of its own. Set the linethickness etc. Clone this box move ti
to the other side. do the same for the top, bottom. Now make sure the
lines don't connect at the corners. Use the bezire curve function to
get the rounded corners. Group all of this together.
2: buy the eclips disk of clipart.

To do thed bullet thing, use box alter current and select set tabs. Set the
first indent where you want the left margin of the paragraph to be.

Type the bullet, hit tab, enter text. Yo will have to put a tab at the
beginning of each line to indent each line. The only other way to do this,
that I know of is to put the bullets in separate text boxes.

If you were using Pagemaker, you would have to do the same thing. There is no
equivalent to the wrap tab, as found in the WPS ruler.

As for the rounded corners trick, use a bezier curve for each corner and
straight lines for each side. Make sure snap to grid is on. Once you have
made your box, group the whole thing to make it one object.

Here's a few more PPage stumpers for you experts out there:

1) How do you get true quotation marks? How about a true dash?

2) How can I get a printout of all possible ZapfDingbats characters?
There are some weird characters accessed by aF+x type sequences, and
I want to make sure that I have found all of the possible characters.

3) After adding a new font by using TYPE/NEW, suppose I decide not
to use it. I can't figure out how to get rid of it from the TYPE
menu. Is it possible to remove a font from the TYPE menu if you haven't
used the font?

4) How do you print multiple copies of a page without having to reload
the entire page into the printer for every copy? I'm using the standard
LaserJet driver on an HP LJIIIP.

Thanks!
