I have run into an apparent limitation in the version of COMPRESS.EXE found in TAPE::AMIGA:[AMIGA.TOOLS]. I get the following error message -- stdin: compressed with 16 bits, can only handle 13 bits %NONAME-W-NOMSG, Message number 00000000 Am I doing something wrong or is there another version of COMPRESS that can handle 16 bits available?

I changed that a while ago I think. There is a copy in dfs::amiga:compress.arc. If you build this on the amiga it uses the same file naming convention as the VAX (i.e. a.txt <--> a.txt_z) for convenience. -steve | |||||

Thanks, that was the version I needed. |
