Well Gentlemen, It's time to say goodbye, as I'm leaving the company at the end of next week (3rd May) to live a life of ease in rural France (thanks to the generous Voluntary Severance Package offered here recently.) Many, many thanks to all of the Amiga friends I've made through this conference over the past few years, and believe me, this notesfile will be the one thing I'll miss above all else. The resource that this conference provides to those Amiga owners who are lucky enough to have access to it is invaluable, and I sympathise with those unfortunate souls out there who have bought one of these marvellous but complex computers without the ability to ask even the simplest of questions of such an august body of experts with the combined expertise of the members of this notesfile. Again, many thanks, and goodbye.....(sniff) Alan T. P.S. If anyone fancies a couple of weeks holiday in a "Gite" in the Vendee area of France, I'll make sure that there will be some way of contacting me, try sending mail to IRNBRU::FINDLAY (Tom Findlay) he should be aware of my address etc.

Me too... My last day with Digital will be June 28th. Digital has decided that our group, Media Communications Group, is too expensive, so they have dumped the whole thing, all 300 of us. Well, now they can hire us as freelancers and find out just what expensive means. Last day, the 28th. My birthday, the 29th. Wierd, huh? At least my package will be quite large, I've been here 13 years. I'm really going to miss this file. This has been the best source of support anyone could imagine. If people really need to get to me, I'm on PLink, username DRUM, although I don't go in there very often. I'm planning to go freelance as a Producer/Director/Designer for Film, Video, Multi-media and Print. As for my Amigas, I'm going to keep them. I still have my original A1000 I bought 5 years ago. My A2000 is still going strong. So if you see a little white Geo Metro convertible with the NH license -SFX- heading off into the sunset, that's me. (I'm not gone yet, I still have till the end of June...so ask your question now.) Randy | |||||
