4661.0. "GENLOCK wanted" by ISIDRO::ISIDRO () Fri Apr 05 1991 05:36

	 I'm looking for a nice genlock not too expensive.

	 I've seen SUPERGEN and seems to be usefull because of the fading
slides.

	 Is anyone using it? Could you tell me a little bot about it?. Also
prices on other countries, dealers to contact and/or second hand offers.

	 Thanks

    I have a supergen, and it was rated quite well in a few publications
    (Amigo times, now defunct; Amigaworld...) the biggest strike against it
    is the price $650 US!

    The PROgen from Progressive Peripherals was also rated good, but lacks
    the slider controls. (only $250 US)

    I don't know if you are looking for a Pal or ntsc genlock but the pal
    gemlock from HAMA cost 1100DM here in Germany and is S-VHS......nice
    controls and picture........you will need to buy a 12volt power supply
    for it. The unit sits on top of your Amiga.

4661.3Munich AMIGA shopISIDRO::ISIDROWed Apr 10 1991 09:1813
    Thanks and Danke for your responses.

    I'm worry about quality. I've used Superpic and Neriki, and found that
    the colours are not as in the original video tape, and even the
    definition of the final result is not good. Some ads. talk well about
    Spirit and some about SuperGen. What about??.

    Anyway, I go to Munich very often, so could you please tell some AMIGA
    shop over there to find tha PAL genlock you recomend? Does it get fade
    controls as SuperGen?

    Cheers.
