Nobody's trying to make an April fool outta you.
The A3000T is reality (it was shown at the recent CeBIT) and will cost
~DM 700 more than the A3000 here in Germany.
Your availability and prices may vary.
Cheers,

I don't think so. Dave Haynie commented on this that they didn't change any
of the form factors that makes the Toaster A3000 incompatible.
As far as I understand it, the Toaster doesn't like the ECS Denise and also
violates the publicated video slot form factors.
So it's NewTek's responsibility to "fix" it.

4644.5 | premature | SALEM::LEIMBERGER | | Wed Apr 03 1991 07:27 | 13 |
| In talking with a developer at the dealers yesterday, I was told that
Amiga world was not supposed to release that atricle. He stated that
the article was very very premature. The temptation for a scoop must
have overwhelmed them. It looks nice though. It will probably become
the standard for un*x systems in the CBM world. I also saw a brand new
3000 for 2800.00 dollars(25mhz forgot drive size 52meg??) They only had
one at that price. No indication of the price on the tower(not set yet)
but I imagine that it will be pricy so as to appeal too those that
cannot appreciate a good deal. Actually I think it will be higher just
because of the features it offers, but expect it will blow the doors
off the other guys. I have seen cases where people were hesitant to buy
Amiga because they were scared by the low price.
