    I have recently discovered that some files on one of my MASTER disks
    have become invisible. This is strange because (to the best of my
    knowledge) I have always had this disk write protected. The files are
    there because I can copy to VD0: etc.
    
    I've tried "protect DF0:* -h" with no success. I do not want to do
    anything with the original distribution unless I absolutely have to, so
    am loathe to copy everything off and back on.
    
    Any ideas?....and do we know what causes this phenomenon?
