4568.0. "flip page PPage->lps20" by SALEM::LEIMBERGER () Thu Mar 07 1991 09:55

    I have been attempting to print out a two sided circular(2-fold 1) from the
    gold disk templates on an lps20. Side one is fine, but side two is
    upside down. I figure this is because the printer thinks it is printing
    a regular two sided page. The question! should I try to adjust the page
    in PPage ( rotate it 180 degrees may not do it)or can I give the
    printer a command to solve the problem. I think the postscript output
    is set at 270 degrees already so I think it needs to be flipped. Of
    course I could print page one, flip and reload the paper for side two,
    but I thought it would be neat to use the printer.

I'd just modify the postscript output specs for the offending page in PPage.

    	Thanks for the quick reply, I'd already thought of that but I am
    not well versed postscript. I may attempt to do it anyway, and if I can
    will post the relative answer in this note. I am still going to try
    modifying the output from ppage. Even if I can't get 100% I figure
    anything I can get will simplefy the postscript edit.

No,

Go into the Page, Alter, Current menu and then select Postscript Output
Spec. Then select page rotation. Rotate it 90 degrees from whatever is
shown.  Then print the document.

You don't have to edit anything.

    You can probably get the desired effect with the right selection of
    layout parameters on the PRINT command. Try /PARAM=SIDES=TUMBLE
4568.5tumble again please!SALEM::LEIMBERGERThu Mar 14 1991 05:045
    re -1.
    	I can't seem to get /par=(data=post,sides=2,sides=tumble) to work
    on the lps20. I tried rotating the page in PPage,and the second page
    came out blank.

    Hmmmm, not working in what way? Is SIDES=TUMBLE not recognized by
    your symbiont, or it just doesn't do what you need? I just ran a
    quick test here, and the back were printed 'upside down' - which I
    think is what you were looking for.

    Very odd. I have had no such diffiulty printing two-sided documents
    from PPage onto an LPS20. The command is

    PRINT/QUEUE=quene_name/PARAMS=(DATA=POST/SIDES=2) file_name

    Files print perfectly every time. You should not have to do any such
    thing as you mention with flipping pages upside-down and the like.
