Excuse my ignorance of AmgaDOS 1.3 but I haven't been able to find an answer in the documentation. If I try to execute a DOS script from the shell, nothing happens, but if I "run execute <script>", it works. Why do I have to 'run' the 'execute' command? -Peter

I believe there is some type of bug with execute. Try a dir/title=execute, or something like that, and there should be a couple of notes on it. It had something to do with nesting execute commands within a script. You might also set the "script" bit on the file, and then you don't even have to "execute" it. Just invoke it, as if it were an executable program. This probably won't help the problem, but it's useful to know. > protect +s script-file > script-file Steve |
