4517.1 | hardware hack needed | FRSOLD::ZIMMERMANN | Wed Mar 13 1991 05:43 | 9
I use a VR201 and VR241. For me they had the best Price/Quality relation :-). The problem with the VR299 would be "how to mix the SYNC into the GREEN" I have no idea at the moment but i'm sure it is not possible to connect the 2 signals on the DB-23 plug. Some docs about external sync ports/connectors or maybe a solder-point somewhere inside the VR299 would be helpful. Ralf ====
4517.2 | The VR299 scan rate is not compatible with Amiga | RGB::ROSE | Wed Mar 13 1991 08:26 | 5
The VR299 is a 1024 X 864 non interlaced monitor. It's scan rate is about 54KHz. The stock Amiga is about 16 Khz. The flicker fixer should be about 31 KHz. You would need a scan converter to hook up the VR299. I don't know of any such beast and if it existed, it would be more expensive than a flicker fixer. |
