4515.1 | Here's a couple... | TLE::TLET8::ASHFORTH | The Lord is my light | Thu Feb 14 1991 09:58 | 14 |
| The XPRXMODEM library can be found in the archive XPRXMODEM.LZH; there's a copy
in CRISTA""::AMIGA:. I got the XPRKERMIT library off one of the Fish disks, I
think in the 300 series (330, maybe?). A browse through the Bookreader file
should help you locate it fairly quickly.
I've just started using VLT myself; my former comm package was/is a rather badly
outdated version of OnLine!. I can't describe the relief at having little
comforts such as a functional up-arrow! I've also downloaded the "full" version,
as I've previously encountered situations where Tek emulation would have been a
great advantage. So far, I'm quite pleased with the package. (I did obtain the
manual- it's well worth the stamp!)
Cheers,
Bob

Like Bob, I just started using VLTjr, too. I like the way it can be customized
to suit your tastes, and the scripting language is a lazy man's delight.
And the history buffer window with its ability to save its contents to disk
makes this emulator more useful than 'dxterm'. Now, if only it would support
mouse cut-and-paste!
(Maybe we should start a note on the pros and cons of various comm packages)

4515.3 | VLT + SNAP? | BOMBE::MOORE | Amiga: Real computing on a PC budget | Fri Feb 15 1991 16:36 | 2 |
| I use SNAP for mouse cut-and-paste, works just dandy with VLT (and
everything else).

4515.4 | It does support mouse cut/paste with SNAP | CSSE32::SMITH | Reality, just a visible imagination? | Fri Feb 15 1991 16:38 | 7 |
| I use VLTjr extensively and couldn't live without the added functionality
of SNAP cut and paste. It works fine with VLTjr.
Try it you'll like it (very close to DECwindow cut/paste)

4515.5 | thanks | TOOK::KEEGAN | Peter Keegan | Sat Feb 16 1991 17:50 | 7 |
| Thanks for the tip on 'snap'. I've been using 'snipit' by Scott
Evernden, but it doesn't work inside terminal emulators.
(then again, it's 1/6 the size of snap)
