4438.0. "help finding a store in northern cal." by WLDWST::HERNANDEZ_D (Horatio Alger) Sun Jan 20 1991 05:53

does anyone know of a good, reasonably-priced amiga store
in the southbay/silicon valley area? i was thinking of getting some
sort of 386 machine but everyone i know says that amigas are much
better... i just want a system where i can dial up my school's
computers and maybe to occasionally use the amiga for programming and
writing papers... anyone have any suggestions???? thanks!

Don't know how north is north, but Creative Computers in Lawndale is a good
mail-order house which also has a walk-in retail store.
4438.2I'd recommend HT electronicsMADRE::MWMMon Jan 21 1991 14:4014
Go Amigo is in Redwood city, on Middlefield just south of Woodside. You get
their mail-order prices when you walk in the door (i.e. - good, but not
great). They may be a bit to far away, but you can call them at 415 364
9714.

HT electronics is in Sunnyvale, at the Central Expressway and Mathilda.
Their prices are slightly highrer than Go Amigo, but they've got a better
display set up, more room, etc. If you buy a system from them, they
start paying the sales tax on software you buy from them - which brings
the prices to withen a few percent of the Go Amigo price, one way or
another. I've been quite happy with them, including getting my hardware
(which I didn't buy from them) serviced. They're at 408 737 0900.
