I know this is a long shot, but here goes. I downloaded FF403 for the Kawai K4 (synthesizer) Editor. I can't get it to run at all. Has anyone else by chance tried it? All I get is a little box at the top of the screen that pops up and says "Error 071". The docs don't even say what language it was written in. Any ideas? I haven't used many Fish programs. How many of these things don't even run?

I've meant to download the K1 editor from an earlier disk, but haven't yet. One advantage of having files in "zoo" or "arc" format is that VMS executables for these formats are on the net. Thus, I've had the advantage of being able to read the docs before downloading. The K1 editor docs mention that it relies on both a requester library and a midi library, which must of course be in your "libs" directory when you run the program; is this perhaps the case for the K4 editor as well? I note that you indicate that you have at least looked at the docs, but maybe you missed this if it is in fact a requirement. Most FISH programs are eminently runnable, but not all. Good luck.
