| Try notesfile TURRIS::GNU, for locations of the various GNU utilities.
For Amiga-ized utilities, you might want to check the fish disks. I know
there's an Amiga/GNUemacs, but don't know about GNUcc or any of the other
utilities.
Steve - KP7 should add the GNU conference (haven't done this with DECWindows)

| I haven't figured out how to copy stuff off of decwrl::...
$ dir decwrl::
/gateway /gateway.doc [etc...]
$ copy decwrl::/gateway.doc []
dcl-w-nofil no files found
$ copy decwrl::"/gateway.doc []
[same result]
What am I doing wrong??

You must specify exact file names on the VMS side - no wildcards.

I'm aware of a GNU Emacs port (note the missing Micro) which is at version 0.8.
There are also GCC ports for the Amiga, as far as I can figure it out one port
seems to be U.S. based, the other an German effort.
See the FTP directory on ab20.larc.nasa.gov.
And don't ask me how to do that, read dec.general or send email to
DECWRL::FTPMAIL with the contents (not subject) HELP.

I just connected to abcfd20.larc.nasa.gov and created a list of *everything*
it has for the amiga.
look in WJG::AMIGA:ABCFD20_011491.LIST
john (who has direct ftp access to IP sites)

And in case you folks think "ab20" was a typo, it ain't so.
Tad Guy's machine changed name and the abcfd20 alias is bound to go away
sometime...
