I've seen PD hardware hacks for just about everything except
an Expansion slot for the A500, to give it A2000 expandiblity.
Since I'm a novice as far as electronics go... I was wondering
if there was a recent PD hack for biulding one.
Thanks;
Ed

Oh well,
I looked through Amiga,Amiga_hardware,Amiga_tech and Amiga_sys.
No luck....
It's probably
1. Too hard.....
2. So easy that everyone but me knows how. ;')
3. not cost effective.

I built a 5 slot expansion chassis for the 1000, other than mechanical
it would work with the 500. Schematics and PAL equations are in the
CBM expansion docs. Mine _almost_ works, I think the only remaining
"bug" is poor power distribution. (e.g., fast ram diagnostics pass, but
system crashes with address error and illegal instruction traps).
Its wire wrapped with several miles of 30 guage wire. Tough to justify
when you can buy a 2 slot Toolbox for about $200 for the 500 or 1000.
