4317.1 | Floppy spins continuosly | SNOPLW::CARR | Asleep at the mouse | Wed Nov 28 1990 10:35 | 7 |
| I've noticed that the floppy drive continues to spin (no led activity,
though) even after this demo is loaded. Solution is to simply remove
the floppy, though this doesn't help much with a hard drive. After my
experience with the game Anarchy (where it munged the clock on my 500),
I'm wary of Psygnosis games, though this is an incredible demo.

I had a disk not validated not long ago and it fixed with a common
command but I can't remember what I did. What about if you copy a file to
the hard disk , wouldn't this cause it to be validated ?

| I haven't had any trouble with this demo, except playing.
I run it from a hard disk.
On the other hand, it must require a lot more joystick response
than most of my other games. My sticks feel like glue when I
play and I've yet to get off the ground floor.

| Well, I finally had to reformat the hard disk and start from scratch. I
tried to use DiskDoctor on in and it wound up making a mess of
everything...as usual. I had everything backed up with Quarterback, so I'm
back in operation.
Don't put "The Killing Game Demo" on your hard disk. Put it on a floppy or
run it from ram.

| Pretty good demo, but I have yet to go above the ffirst door.
The game in Demo mode, shows to put a key in a post in a triangular
slot, I have the key, but how do I insert it in the slot, I've
tried most keyboard keys with no success, any body tried?

| You have to standstill beside the post and fire like crazy at the brick
wall. You need to be quick though or the water gets you.

4317.8 | It's an excellent game, but... | DECEAT::PETERSON | snowball has a better chance | Tue Jun 04 1991 11:21 | 19 |
| Anyone still playing the Killing Game Show, demo or "real"? In answer
to question on how to use the "shaped key" (or any other "tool" for that
matter) - all you do is hold down the "fire" button. Don't "fire like
mad at the wall" - you'll only waste valuable ammunition.
I have the "real" game (slightly aggravated because it WON'T install on
a hard disk) and I have a question for anyone who might know...
How do you get the game to "remember" the highest level you've reached?!?
As long as the game is running, it lets you go to whatever level you've
reached - in that session! Turn amy off and start the game later and
you have to START OVER AT LEVEL ONE, SECTION ONE. The game "remembers"
the high scores very well, and I'm *sure* that you must be able to get
it to remember your highest level. Anyone know the secret? Wanna let
me in on it? Thanks.
