4198.0. "PRT:/LA75 - Bypass prt drivers but keep interrupt requestors?" by SNOC02::KING (Randall King @SNO Sydney, Aussieland) Sat Oct 13 1990 09:31
I have a print file (from Excellence! wp) that contains standard
ANSI printer control CSI (Contro. Sequence Introducer = "<ESC>[" )
sequences directly understood by DEC printers (eg. LA75) in DEC mode.
Currently, I have to bypass the PRT: WB 1.3 printer drivers by COPYing
to SER: to get to my LA75, since the PRT: drivers (including Generic)
filter/destroy the ANSI sequences.
This means I get no PRT: interrupt handling and device control
requesters eg. for paper out's etc.
Does anyone know a way (suitable for normal human beings) that I can
get to the printer without the device driver filters stuffing me up
without having to use SER:?
