Hi,
Can somebody tells me his experience about expanding the A500 internal
memory capacity. I mean, by soldering 4 X 424256 or lookalike chips
at locations U20-U23 with appropriate caps (.22Mf) on the motherboard.
In this case are there other connections or jumpers to be set?
Motherboard rev. level= 6A with 8372A fat AGNUS.
Thanks

Does'nt sound like absolute beginner stuff to me.
I believe Commodore are denying that it is possible.
Firstly I believe there are also spaces for data-buffers as well ?
The links are near the 8372A .. Sorry no idea how to strap them
though.
Do you have a A501 (Trap door 1/2 Meg board) also. ?
Best Luck
.Pete.
( Let me Know how you get on .. I've also got a 6a and some spaces )
