4155.0. "Amiga as Art" by TCC::HEFFEL (Pigs and Ponies) Thu Sep 27 1990 00:15

On a recent trip to Pittsburgh, PA I went into one of the malls and
happened to come across a cart full of local artwork. Mostly sketches
of Pittsburgh sights. (Yes there *are* sights in the Iron City. :-)

Anyway, in flipping through the prints I saw a cartoonish watercolor
of a cat holding a mouse (the pointing variety), and standing next to a
computer and atop a stack of books. On the monitor screen it says
"Manual or Mouse?" "Cute," I thought. I nearly put it back when I
noticed that the computer is an Amiga 1000. The "Amiga" sticker on the
monitor is clearly visible. Needless to say, the combination of cat and
Amiga made it impossible to pass up.

In the event that there are any others of you who love cats and Amigas,
    I offer the following address:

    		Nevin Robinson Studio
    		PO Box 10259
    		Pittsburgh, PA. 15232
    		(412) 361-0320

I have no affiliation with Mr. Robinson, I just thought you might be
interested in a little something to dress up your computer room walls.

Since I have no connection with any other nets public or private, one
of you who does might like to pass this note along.

Hmm... you might want to send that pointer on to somebody in Commodore
Marketing. After all, the Amiga is a dual interface machine - Manual
or Mouse, CLI or Workbench. Never really seen that pushed as the
"feature" that it is. It's heresy to most of the mac users I've run
into, all the more reason to push it.

By the way, I've tried, can't get my cat to make a meow that sounds
like Ammiiggaa. But she has gone after the mouse and has tried to
grab the mouse pointer. But no real mouse so far.
