| If I understand your question, you want to display Amiga graphics on an
X/DECwindows workstation screen? Probably the best approach would be
to convert the graphics to GIF format. Then use something like XGIF or
UTOX to display them.

| I thought IFF read had been included in the latest UTOX.
Maybe I saw a wishlist ?

| I think I may be one of those people to put it into the wish list. I've
had sucess displaying Amiga files with the following conversions IFF ->
Sixel -> UTOX. The only problem is my GPX doesn't have enough colors to
adequeatly display HAM pictures I capture with Digi-View.

| You can view gif files on X workstations under vms/ultrix using the XGIF
program (see wjg::kit:[xgif]).

| John,
Would you, by any chance, be willing to set the protection on the XGIF
files so that we out in general cyberspace can reach them? I'd like to
play with XGIF, but I get file protection errors when I try to copy.
Thanks,
John

| All set.
There is a new program there as well named XGIFEDIT, which allows you to
do some editing of GIF files.
Also check out wjg::pics:[gif] for the gallery...

| Also check out XLOADIMAGE for viewing. It handles many formats
(including GIF) and has a fairly extensive set of display options
and transformations which can be applied to 'adjust' the image. I
believe it was announced in the (ELKTRA::)DW_EXAMPLES conference.
