Well, I wouldn't let an angus inside my Amiga (especially a fat one).
Those hooves can really damage a hard drive! :-) :-) (Sorry, I
couldn't resist. The chip is actually referred to as agnus.)

It easier for you to tell us what it is you want to run than for us
to tell you what you can/can't run. I had no problems whatsoever
upgrading my A2000, but I didn't have a large number of games.
In general, as long as you keep running the same version of the OS on
the two machines you should be fairly compatible. When 2.0 becomes
available for the 2000, compatibility will probably be more of an issue
for you than just upgrading the Agnus chip is right now.

I upgraded by early model 2000 to a fat Agnus a year ago. I've had absolutely
zero problems with any software, games or productivity, due to the change.

| One of the older SSI games, I think it's "Heroes of the Lance", is
known to not work on machines with 1 meg Agnus installed. I don't
recall any others offhand...

What do you mean "As long as you have some real fast Mem."
What I have is 1 meg on the mother board and a supra 8 meg
board populated to 4 meg.

| The memory on your Supra board is configured as "fast" memory (read as
"non-chip" or "non-graphics"). This means it exists on the bus which
only the 68000 can access and is not directly accessible by the custom
graphics chips (Agnus, etc). You should be all set since you have the
Supra board. This is a good point though, I have heard of a number of
complaints about software failing if you have all "chip" memory.
