I just added a 2088 Bridge Board to my new A2000 and after all the induced problems were resolved I discoverd that Arp Shell does not mix with the Bridge board. The Cli is fine until you bring up a PC window from then on any characters will show up as garbage in the CLI window. Opening a new window has the same symptoms you have to reboot the Amiga to get a good CLI window. This will last until another PC window is opened. I reverted to the standard CLI that comes with Amiga DOS and it works fine. Looks like the key map gets screwed up. Amiga dos 1.3.2 and Janus 2.0. Anyone seen anything simular? Alan

Alan, Yeah, I have seen the same thing at times. However, the kicker is that I am NOT using ARP. It is not consistent, but it usually seems to show up when I am doing too many things at once, especially flipping back and forth between Amiga an PC windows. I'm sure what causes it and I have not been able to reproduce it, but it's frustrating as hell when it happens. The 2000 takes long enough to reboot, but the PC side is even slower! Dave |
