3963.0. "drumming packages for Amiga ?" by MLNCSC::M_FRANZONI (Blue like a Blues) Thu Jul 26 1990 12:04
I'm a drum player and I'd like to use my brand new Amiga as an aid to
compose, practice and print drum parts - huh, I can't use CAD for computer
aided drumming !
I've got the Adrum package and I've a couple of questions about it:
Since there is no way to print parts, does anybody knows the file format
it uses ?
and is there any converter from Adrum files to graphical parts (I mean staves)
(possibly to sixel format) ?
Any advice on other drumming packages is welcome.
BTW, there is a HW/SW project in my mind about connecting the drum-kit pieces
to the parallel port of the Amiga to have a 'digital record' of drumming and
edit/print out parts.
I know there are MIDI equipments/sowtware to do it, but I wouldn't like to
afford its cost and I'd rather like to project and build my own system.
Any hint/suggestion/experience about such a project is welcome too.
Cheers, Mauro.
