I am interested in a "DATA ACQUISITION UNIT" from DATEL ELECTRONICS. From the ad it looks like the screen shows the front panel of an oscilloscope with the tube and all the adjustments. The ad does not say how it interfaces to the Amiga, but it mentions: - Turns your Amiga into a sophisticated measuring instrument capable of measuring a wide range of data input. - Sample and displays events from microseconds to hours with amplitude from milivolts to 50 volts. - A hardware/software package with very high specs. - 6 bit flash conversion gives 2 million samples/sec. -etc.... The package sells for 99.99 pounds in the UK. Questions: - Does anyone have or has seen this package, and if yes how does it perform ? - How does it connect to the Amiga (A500) ? - Is this a UK product or is it available in the US and if so, what is the price there ? - Is anyone aware of similar packages ? Regards Jean-Paul

I called them once since I thought it might make a neat toy (and a working scope too!) If memory serves me, it plugs into the parallel port and takes over the machine (no multi-tasking). john |
