    I'm looking for an illustation package that is comparable to Micrografx
    Designer.  I need a large grid area that is able to print/plot actual
    size patterns.  Can anyone give me the low-down on Aegis Draw or
    any other illustration packages available for the Amiga.  Also,
    are the any reviews I can read (back issues).  I've been able to
    find information/reviews on the top packages for the PC but am unable 
    to find the same for the Amiga.

Aegis Draw (acutally Draw 2000) is easy to use if you are doing standard
    3 face 2-d drawings of objects.  It outputs HPGL standard plotter
    files and you can customize the plotter output file to be different
    for different plotters.  I've tried a few custom plotters and so
    far have been able to do all I've tried (4 or 5).  Only problem
    so far is the IBM plotter and that is because it wouldn't do XON
    XOFF on the serial port (only had a three wire cable).  It is easy
    to use although I suggest that you set prefs with a 2 or 4 mouse
    speed for detail work or use a tablet.
    
    For 3-d stuff, I don't really know what to say about Caligari --
    WOW!! -- to both ability and especially to price.  I'd wait to see
    what Imagine from Impulse will do first.

    Actually, the main features I'm looking for are:
    
    1.  A large grid/design area able to take 'actual' measurements.
    
    2.  Autotracing
    
    3.  Editing through Belzier curves
