3902.0. "News Reader" by FOSTER::PILEEKI () Tue Jul 03 1990 17:32
Perhaps someone here can help me, I dont know where else to ask.
I've been using a program called vnews to read usenet until a
couple of weeks ago when something went wrong. There was a notes
file supporting vnews but I can't find it. When I try to run it I
get this,

re .0
The crash (arithmetic trap) is probably dur to something it found in the
newsrc file. That file lists all the news groups along with a "seen map" of
the articles in the groups you subscribe to. One of them probably got
big (numerically) or too segmented.
