| I haven't used those specific files, but EPSF is a standard.
Professional Page V1.3 can import them, and I believe PageStream as
well. There may be other Amiga desktop publishing applications that
likewise will do that. You can also create EPSF files in Professional
Page by saving them in that format.

| I have used a few of them with AmigaTeX and my PostScript(tm) printer.
AmigaTeX has a facility for including an EPSF file into a document.

I spent a few dozen hours reproducing a block diagram of VMS by Don
McFadden (CXO) under Pro Draw and Pro Page. I used the epsf files for
RA81, TU79 and VT340 in the picture. In Pro Page the epsf file shows
up as a box with diagonal lines from corner to corner and text inside
the box identifying the filename and the first few lines of the epsf
file which include the name and such.
If you print your page to anything other than a postscript print you
will only get the box and not the contents (Pro Page does not perform
a PS to bitmap conversion for epsf files included in the drawing,
therefore it prints only the box).
It was a bit disappointing but then again I was intending on printing
to a PS printer anyways and by using DECprint under VMS I was to
produce color postscript output on the LJ250.
I have also made extensive use of the ARTLIB epsf files in DECwrite and
also used the epsf output abilitites of Pro Page to include into
DECwrite at the office (the only drawback is that Pro Page set the
bounding box to be the whole page and not just to fit what is on the
page).

That's more or less standard behavior for dealing with encapsulated
postscript, as I understand. The postscript version of the image
in an encapsulated postscript file can use the full power of the
postscript language. To interpret it would require a program
roughly the same same as ProPage itself!
Encapsulated postscript files can have embedded in them a bit map
version of the image suitable for screen display while in the
desk top publishing program. The idea is that the DTP program
displays the bitmap on the screen so you can see a rough version
of the image, but uses the postscript to do the actual rendering
on the postscript printer.

In propage v1.3 I have imported EPSF, files displayed them on the
ppage screen in bitmap mode, and printed them out on the LJ252 with
propage's dot matrix output.

Handles EPSF , so maybe view the file under that
