Is there a U**X-like shell for the amiga? Is there one called Amix?

there are shells and cli commands and aliases that can make your environment resemble Unix, but there will always be differences. The best Unix-like shell is probably KSH (oops, SKSH) From Steve Korn (?) on Usenet. It's probably in the AMIGA_BINARIES news shadow conference on FRSOLD::. As for Amix, that was the name of the Amiga port of Unix (System 5 release 4) but (I believe) Commodore has since bought rights (from AT&T?) to call it Unix. john | |||||
