3835.0. "Sound Advice" by PANIC::JACOB (Usque Ad Mortem Addendum) Mon Jun 11 1990 06:24
Does anyone have or know where to find some PD C source for playings
IFF sequence files?
I found something called sound.c that simply plays raw samples but
nothing to play a sequence. My "noddy" games now have lots of good spot
effects from mangling this routine, but no jazzy soundtrack in the
background. If theres nothing about, can anyone outline roughly how I
should go about it. ie. Do I have to kick the soundtrack off on its own
as another task and "interrupt" with my spot effects or what?
I have a number of good Amiga manuals but none adequately covers
a more extensive use of my Ami's sound capabilities. Any suggestions?
Regards, Mark.
