I had been running V1.051D UUCP and receiving my feeds from nh-ubbs in Nashua. As of May 12, something went astray, possibly relating to work the phone company had been doing in the area. Now, the output from either of the two modems (on two phone lines) at nh-ubbs is so weak that my modem won't pick them up for the connect. I am not experiencing any other problems with other systems. At any rate, I would like to identify another local feed for news. Does anyone know of one in the Nashua-Merrimack-Hudosn-Salem area?

What has worked for me is to get the local map from the Usenet newsgroup comp.mail.maps, then send e-mail to "smaller" sites in your area asking if they know who might be able to give you a feed. It helps greatly to mention that you have had your machine working receiving Usenet, which proves that you know what you're doing. You should have little problem finding a new feed. Wes | |||||
