I have recently bought myself a decent modem and am keen to get some PD stuff across the network. Could some kind person tell me the locations for the VMS utilities like ARC,ZOO,KERMIT,XMODEM etc. and corresponding Amiga versions. Is there a good PD VT emulator, as having tried dialing in for the first time last night, I think my comms utility "Access" leaves quite abit to be desired. Regards, Mark.

TAPE::USER2:[AMIGA...] is about the biggest repository of Amiga PD - everthing from fish to bison!. Try: $ dir tape::user2:[amiga...]/out=tape_amiga_stuff.txt WJG::AMIGA: has some more stuff but is not as organized as TAPE:: WJG::AMNEW: Stuff I plan to dl and check out WJG::AMUSE: stuff off usenet in shar or uuencode format WJG::AMUSEN: New usenet stuff $ dir wjg::sys2:[amiga...]/out=wjg_amiga_stuff.txt Look in WJG::AMIGA:*.EXE for VMS versions of the utilities. The Amiga versions are under the same names as .ARC, .ZOO, .LZH etc. john |
