Just got hold of a new game called "North and South" which is a
game about the US Civil war. You can play as either the Union
or Confederacy, against another player or against the computer,
at one of three ranks (Corporal, Sarg, or General) you can
also enable/disable certain 'random' elements to give the game
that added dimension, like Indian/Mexican attacks, weather
or mercenaries.
The game is beautifully designed with superb animation sequences.
It can be played purely as a strategy game or with arcade sequences
as well. It is fast paced and relatively challanging. Great sound
effects and use of backgrounds/colors....
Players can either use the mouse/keyboard or joystick for interaction.
Well worth buying...rated 9�/10

| I purchased North and South and had great fun playing the game
but I was disappointed that you can only use one joystick and
player two has to use the keyboard.
The game is great for a while, but it then becomes like most
games I suppose, easy to beat all the time...
