I'm seriously considering purchasing the GVP 28MHz 030 card. It's got most of the right features (available with no memory, and I can add memory at home w/out being insane), and about the right price. Got to wait and see what the developers price on the 2630 is like. Question 1) Anyone have any expierence with the GVP cards? Comments, either good or bad? Question 2) Has anyone tried using the DS[32]100 SIMMs on a 32 bit acc card (or anything else, for that matter) that accepts SIMMs? Thanx, <mike

I have been using the GVP 030/882 card for long time. The unit works well. As with any 030 or 020 card much of the speed-up requires 32 bit RAM. I have 4MB and have never run out of RAM. One nice feature that GVP offers is upgrades. ANY GVP 030 can be upgraded for the difference in retail price. For a 28 to 33 MHZ with 4 MB RAM is cost about $750. They replace PALs, CPU, RAM, ... and test the board. If you have any more questions send me mail. Steve Peters |
