3737.0. "WANTED DEAD, not ALIVE Mouse for body parts" by AKOV11::SMITH (Reality, just a visible imagination?) Tue May 01 1990 23:31
Well my son thought it might be neat to see if the mouse would squeal
if he stuck a pin in it's tail. Needless to say the mouse was not
impressed and began overheating his tail. Now I have a dead mouse with
a burnt tail.
A autopsy revealed that the mouse's tail has +5v and possibably
others shorted to the shield and thats was was causing the overheating.
It has likely taken out the chip (LM339) and I hope nothing on the mama
board.
Since I know some of you out there have replaced your mouse for bad
buttons, jerky movements, etc. I wondered how many of you might have
an old CBM mouse carcass rotting away in the back of your desk drawer?
WANTED DEAD or just plain broken CBM mouse for body parts...
Will pay bottom dollar! (or what reasonable)
Please, help me revive (re-tail) my mouse and clean out your desk at
the same time.
Seriously, if you you have a broken mouse you could part with for a
reasonable price, give me a call or drop me some mail.
Thanx,
...Ed Smith, DTN 244-6761, AKOV11::SMITH
