    		I recently received Keef the Thief as a gift. And I'm stuck
    at the beginning.
    
    	So I wanted to create this note to share experiences and hints,
    starting with hints :-).
    
    	Any hints on how to get started to increase your abilities so I
    won't die so easily ? 
    
    	When I try to steal something most of the time the game replies 
    something like "received a nasty oie (sp?)". Oie (sp) is not in my 
    dictionary, what does it means ?

	Miguel, I don't know anything about KEEF the THIEF, but I can propose one meaning for OIE as a word (not something like O.I.E). OIE is the french word for "GOOSE". Does it make any sense ? Jean-Francois.

	Its Received a Nasty Owie(sp). Which means you just hurt your self in your attempt to steal something. To get going in this game go to every house in the town and rob it. Then go sell what ever you have stolen to anyone thats interested. You should practice your thieving skills in the shops as well. Don't pay for your supplies, take them! When your fighting guards etc... learn to perform hit and run tactics or you might not survive very long. Save your game regularly. Make sure you get all of your thieving tools, including extra lock picks from the nasty looking guy outside of the reagent shop. Good Luck!

	Re.2 Thanks !. It's a slow and tedious process but it works. I've plundered all the houses, except those with traps. I have been able to increase most of my abilities, except for disarming. Any hints on how to increase disarming abilities ? Miguel A.

	It the same slow and tedious process for disarming traps. If you do the right thing you'll get one kind of message, if you do it wrong you get another. Save your game lots and try the different combinations and notice the messages. You really need all the help you can get when you get into the multiple trap treasury rooms... BTW have you gone into the castle and ransacked the treasury! Talk about disarming traps! Regards, Ron
