I installed UUCP V1.05D and have everything set up for polling
a local node for news and exchanging mail. However, I am missing
a couple key files to allow this to run with my internal Supra modem
on the 2000.
Does anyone out there have a copy of V1.7 modem0.device and the
new mdm-handler for the Supra internal modem?

While I don't have your modem device Paul, I'd be VERY interested
in the V1.05D UUCP distribution (sources, too). Were did you get
it?
BTW, I'm currently developing a more advanced News system for
Amiga-UUCP on the basis of V1.03D. Already finished is a replacement
for postnews, calld PostIt that allows followups and also generates
local articles.
Coming up is a Rnews clone that will do complete News handling,
read: your Amiga will be a "real" NetNews machine and instead of
being an end-node (News-wise) being able to route to other machines.
Also in the works is (yet another) newsreader program.
All of this is currently in ARexx, with the Rnews stuff being recoded
in C as soon I get to it...
If anybody wants PostIt now (it works without any other part of
BrewNews present), let me know and I'll make it available.

I pulled it off of PLINK. I'll try to upload it, but it is large.
No sources with the files I have.
I called SUPRA about the new handler and driver. They are sending
me a disk. May take a few days to reach me though.
