A couple of quick questions: 1) How does one go about exectuing a script file (like startup-sequence) from workbench, using an icon? I ask because I managed to put Walker Demo II on my hard drive, but I'd like to execute it's startup script from workbench, not from CLI. 2) What is the script bit, and how do I set it. I got a script that changes arc and zoo files to lharc files, and the docs simply say "set the script bit and execute the thing..." Thanks, Steve

1. Take any old PROJECT icon (such as one generated by NotePad) and rename it to the name of the script file to be executed; ie, > copy <path>ProjectIconName.info to <path>ScriptFilename.info Then, using INFO from from the leftmost Workbench drop down menu, set the default tool of the icon to c:IconX (make sure that IconX is in your c: directory. You can also use Iconmaster to create your own sexy icons and set the icon type to PROJECT or whatever. Iconmaster will also change the type of any icon, if you so desire. 2. >protect <path>filename s Ed. |
