Questions from a new (U.K.) A500 disciple ........ 1. Can Joe Public gain access to copy of the AMGIGA 500 Service Manual, or are we locked into " Authorised " maintenance organisations ? 2. The motive behind this question is that having decided to augment memory by adding the A501 module ..I notice that on page F-4 of the Standard Intro_Booklet that the sixteen XX256-15 Memory DRAMs are apparently only using 9 address bits out of a possible 12. Are there any whispers of Commodore launching a 2 Meg internal A500 .. using newer technology (1x1Meg chip) ? If this has been discussed ad-nausea in earlier Notes please re-direct and forgive the repeat. The existing 12.5 Billion Notes on the World_of_Amy, make long and interesting reading ... My thanks in anticipation Mike

I don't know about the 500, but I purchased the specs for the 2000
from my dealer. Can't remember how must it costed though; $30-$75 comes
to mind.

Check out your amiga.
If it's new it may have 256k x 4 memory chips in and all you have
to do is add some more ( I think ? ).
Pete ( Who has but didn't)
