3575.1 | A DeluxePaint III answer | DUGGAN::GAY | Now where'd I put that hammer... | Mon Mar 12 1990 12:08 | 17 |
| With Deluxe Paint III, changing to black and white's not too hard.
The simplest answer is to edit the pallette so one half is black and
the other is white. You can "adjust the contrast" by choosing which
gray scales you make white and which black.
As for expanding the area of interest, pick it up as a brush and expand
it to the size of the screen (I forget the exact wording of the
entry in the brush pulldown menu, but it lets you drag to the desired
size. If you hold down the shift key, it will keep the same aspect
ratio).
Hope that helps

| If you want strictly black & white, why not just print it in black
& white?.
Dpaint 2 and 3 have a requestor for the print option that states
Black/white, Grey, or color. Just pick up the B&W.
This feature also gives nice effect when printing color picture
in this mode. You won't "see" it on the screen, but it works
pretty good.

3575.3 | printing em b/w won't do | FSCORE::KAYE | where's my Kama Sutra pop-up book for zero-g | Mon Mar 12 1990 12:11 | 10 |

I can't just print them. I need them to pull into PPage and don't really
need the shades of grey.
re .1
I'll give the pallette change a try.

3575.4 | anybody got the worlddatabank extra maps?? | UBEAUT::MANDERSON | Photographers do it in the dark | Mon Mar 12 1990 19:44 | 9 |
| On the issue of maps has anybody managed to get the extra files for the
worlddatabank map (fish 262). wdb 4 and 3 are on the ff disk but
evidently 1 and 2 are far higher resolution and are also in the PD but
were not included because of floppy disk space constraints
I would love a copy of them if anybody has them
