I have read that it is possible to use a IBM VGA compatible monitor with the A500. What I need to know is how to wire up the cable between the monitor and the A500. Second I need to know what software changes are required to make it work. I have made some experiments which have been a limited success. I can sync the monitor to the A500 but the screen image is twice as wide as the screen. (the monitor wraps the image over on its self). This is not altogether unexpected considering the A500 has a line frequency of 15.75k and the VGA monitor operates at 31.5k. CAn the A500 video be made to run at 31.5k or is VGA made to work by a trick in wiring the cable? BArry

I'm pretty certain that what you want to do is not possible. Ed. | |||||

...ignoring the possible availability issues with the A500, I think you would need to use a FlickerFixer..... -Jeff |
